Rosewater has become a part of our beauty regimen. Be it skincare or Haircare, Rose Water works wonders🌷.
It has so many uses and is easily available in stores suiting different budgets. But the variety out there is so much that sometimes we are just not sure which one is pure.

In this blog, you will find the answer to the quest, ‘How to Identify Pure Rose Water?’
- Make sure that the rose water is transparent and not of any other shade be it pink or yellow.
- If your Rose water is pink or yellow, then it may have prepared using Infusion of Rose petals and not by steam distillation!
- It should be distilled and you must watch out for this word or a similar indicator in the ingredients list of the packaging
- The ingredients list should just say that the water was distilled and what kind of roses were used to make in the process.
- The fragrance in pure rose water is very subtle. It is never too sweet or overpowering.
- Always check the label!!
- “When you shake the bottle of rose water, if it forms a soap-like foam, this may indicate the presence of emulsifiers. These emulsifiers are often used to bind distilled water and rose essential oil in certain types of rose water.”
- Pure rose water does not irritate your eyes.
- Pure rose water is mostly EDIBLE!
